When she says, "I don't care"...

"Do what I say now or else..." OR "do what you want, I don't care" are big signs that you are in deep doodoo. It is truly the response to "does this dress make me look fat?" No response is a good one. Its especially annoying when it becomes your fault in the end, inevitably because your dammed if you, and dammed if you don't. How do you get by scott free? The best thing to do is tell it like it is. If you are backed into a corner or slowly digging the ditch, the worst thing to do is say "You." "You did this, you are digging my grave, you did the deed with ((insert name here))... you ruined my life." It is best to say, "I." "I definitely see no fat in that dress. I want to do that but I..." The second you say "you".... Such as: "I would but you and ((he-who-must-not-be-named))"...It all goes down hill. Stick to the word I and avoid you. If she calls the kettle black, then say something right then and there. Do NOT under any circumstance, start with I and end with you. Also, leave the "but" out of it as well. If, ands or but's if all else fails, and you genuinley tried the "I" approach... then she is way too controlling and you need to get out before you are whipped like Cool Whip.
